Functions of proteins in the body
The primary functions of proteins are certainly those without which a human body cannot survive. These functions include the general regulation of body processes, formation of enzymes and synthesis of hormones. They also help in building and repairing body tissues .They aid in the formation of antibodies and thus in fighting infections. Proteins form the major chunk of the human body next to water. Every protein has a unique functionality and helps the body in one way or the other. Blood also contains huge amounts of proteins and as a matter of fact the hemoglobin molecule is full of proteins. For every day activities in the body to take place, there is a constant usage of proteins in the body. Hence there is a need to consume proteins in adequate amounts every day in order to improve your health fitness.
