Don’t spoil your child!
One of the habits of wealthy parents that hurts me the most is that they buy their children more than what they actually require. I saw a couple asking a salesman in a computer store for a laptop for their 5 year old kid. Buying a laptop for the kid would not have been a problem if it was to teach him something useful but the configuration they asked for was to let him play the latest games on it. Playing games at the age of 5 is not a horrendous act but a video game would have sufficed. Why spend so much for the sake of games? This will sow deep in that child’s mind a thought that his parents will spend everything for him and buy anything he wants. This is a thought that most parents are now finding very difficult to drive out of their kid’s mind. So my advice is “Please do not spoil your child’s future by getting him more than what is required!”
