Who is better in multitasking?

Multitasking is considered a God gifted capability and off late it has been largely believed that women have this capability more than men. The concept of multitasking came into picture when large BPOs in Asia and Australia wanted their employees to attend overseas calls and at the same time manage a few other activities around them. With more and more projects pouring in these BPOs started analyzing the performance of their employees more keenly and started recruiting more women in preference over men. When asked in an interview about this new trend, a managing director of one of the largest BPOs in Australia said it is due to the high multitasking capability of women that they prefer women over men. But the general thought among the market analysts is that this trend is due to the lower migratory nature of women. These companies according to them are trying to obtain long lasting employees who would permanently stay with the company and would not move to other companies citing salary as a reason.
