Plenty to add

I have seen many people complaining of repetitiveness in their diet sheets. But the actual fact is no doctor or dietitian will want you to follow the same diet for weeks, months or years together. You can change certain items in the diet sheet just keeping in mind its contribution in terms of calories. A diet is a document which tells what to eat and how much to eat keeping in mind the calories needed for your body every day. When a person consumes more calories than what is required, he accumulates mass in the body in the form of unwanted fat. So when altering a diet, you can swap a green vegetable with another green vegetable of your taste but it should contribute more or less the same amount of calories and similarly other ingredients also. So whenever I see a person complaining about his/her diet I always advise them to swap the boring items and dishes with something of their choice after knowing the calorie count from the internet.

Simple stress busters


Stress busters are activities that can help you tackle stress in an effective manner. One best way to tackle stress is to hang out with friends every now and then whenever you find time amidst you busy work schedule. It would also be a nice idea if you can take your family for a short trip during the weekend to a nearby shore city and enjoy the natural environment which would be quite a drastic change from your office environment. If you have no time at all to do these things, the best way to drive away stress is to do some yoga every day. Just five minutes of an aasana can do wonders according to yoga specialists. If not yoga, simple exercises can also help you bring down stress in an effective manner.

Health is wealth!


We often feel it is difficult to follow a particular diet, how much ever good it might do to our health. We always see following a diet as a task and never take it as a duty or part of life. Have you ever felt bored of breathing or eating? Breathing is also a energy consuming process and eating is both energy consuming and time consuming. But none of us feel bored or irritated to do these. It is because you understand you cannot live without these processes. The same way we need to take diet as an integral part of life and should not feel bored to follow a diet. In order to make it interesting you may leave some space for your favorite junk food once a week or once a month. But remember health is more important than anything else in this world and diet is very important to stay healthy!

Green vegetables!


Why do doctors insist so much on the inclusion of green vegetables in your daily diet? This question would have struck many people but most of them would have followed the doctor’s advice without learning the reason for it. I was also advised by my medic to take a lot of green vegetables in my diet. I asked him why and he said “I list all its benefits in one day! You better read it yourself!”. So I decided to learn it from the internet. After going through several websites I thought what the doctor said was completely true. Green vegetables can do you so much good when you add them to your diet and their benefits are innumerable. I will list a few here. First most green vegetables are rich sources of minerals much needed for health. They get easily digested when compared to meat. They have very little carbohydrates in them which make them very easy to digest and their impact on blood glucose is very less. I will list more benefits in my future posts!

Postponing pregnancy!

With the growing importance for a well settled life among the younger generations we see that most people resort to having children later than sooner after marriage. The principal reason that most couples give for this decision is that they want to settle down in life before having extra responsibility. But one thing that these couple should understand is that having children is integral part of life and it should not be seen as a burden or extra responsibility. Like taking care of your mother or spouse, taking care of your child is also a ‘must do’ process and this should not be cited as a reason for postponing pregnancy! Moreover doctors suggest that postponing first pregnancy for years may even lead to circumstances where couples cannot have children when they wish to do so! These are certain things which cannot be scheduled by man and is righteously given God! And it is man’s duty to accept it!

This is one question that has loomed over young models and normal people who like to align themselves with the latest trends. For instance in one of my previous posts I had mentioned about the size zero phenomenon. Such things are impossible to attain in a healthy manner and in fact my point is they do not deserve a try! It is such a stupid phenomenon which can easily put a body into tremendous stress within days and push a man to the verge of death. But if you are a person who is trying to reduce your weight to a reasonable amount in order to wear the latest trendy clothes and look good, I would certainly say you have healthy ways to achieve your goal. You need not take weight reduction pills but a proper diet plan worked out by your dietician can do wonders for your cause! Like wise for most of your reasonable aspirations associated with aligning yourself with the latest trends, you have perfect natural solutions!
